The Future

So what is the future in a post-Katrina climate? Oil futures for the short-term to mid-term seem to be the best bet. As the price of gas surges, so will the desire for more of it. As sporadic outages increase, so will sporadic intense buying as hoarding may become a reality.

Long-term? Defense and security related issues, and real estate still looks good.

Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Interagency Outreach Events

The Federal banking and thrift agencies, along with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), today announced registration details for the upcoming outreach events related to the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Examination Manual that was released on June 30. The events include:

Three nationwide conference calls to be held August 2-4, 2005; and
Five regional half-day outreach meetings, including a simulcast of one of the meetings via the Internet. These meetings will be held in San Francisco, Dallas, Chicago, New York, and Miami.
Registration details for the nationwide conference calls are attached. To register for one of the regional outreach meetings, click on the hyperlink below that corresponds to the meeting location that you would like to attend or type in the corresponding web address.

Banking organizations are encouraged to participate in these voluntary sessions. The content of these events is similar, and that should be factored into a banking organization’s decision to participate in the sessions. During these events, the BSA/AML Examination Manual will be discussed and examination expectations will be provided. There will also be an opportunity to provide feedback, ask questions, and address implementation issues.

Participating in the outreach sessions will be the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System (Board), Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS), the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and FinCEN.

The BSA/AML Examination Manual emphasizes a banking organization's responsibility to establish and implement risk-based policies, procedures, and processes to comply with the BSA and safeguard its operations from money laundering and terrorist financing.

For questions regarding the registration process, banking organizations should contact Tonya Spratley of the FDIC at For broader questions on the outreach events or the BSA/AML Examination Manual, banking organizations should contact the local office of their federal banking agency.

Pope News Blog to Give Round-the-clock Conclave Updates

Following the Pope's eventual death, the world's Catholic cardinals will be summoned to Rome to participate in the papal election process known as conclave. The Pope Blog has announced that it will cover the conclave, giving updates around the clock on the Papal election.

(PRWEB) April 2, 2005 -- Following news of the Pope's failing health, The Pope News Blog announced today that it will be providing coverage of the next conclave.

The blog's two main authors, Andy Hagans and Jimmy Atkinson, have pledged that the site will act as a clearinghouse for news reports from the Conclave. The blog will also offer insightful commentary and analysis on conclave-related matters.

Pope John Paul II, the 264th Pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church, has been experiencing severe health problems for the last several weeks. He was twice rushed to the hospital after experiencing breathing difficulty and fever in February. During his second visit to the hospital, he underwent a tracheotomy to insert a breathing tube into his throat.

It appears at the time of writing this release that the Pope may not recover from his most recent health problems. The Pope suffered a heart failure and received Last Rites late Thursday night (see

After the death of the Pope, all Catholic Cardinals will go to Rome to participate in the Papal election process known as a conclave. The word "conclave" is derived from the Latin phrase "cum clavi" ("with a key") because the election process is secretive and occurs behind the closed doors of the Sistine Chapel. Only members of the College of Cardinals are allowed to enter during the election process. The Conclave is conducted without any interference from the media.

The Pope Blog is "blog" Web site operated by Andy Hagans (known as "Boney", a student at The University of Notre Dame) and Jimmy Atkinson (known as "Jimbo", an alumnus of The University of Notre Dame).

The two are dedicated to serving the latest news and information regarding the Holy Father, Vatican, and conclave. Visit the Pope Blog at

First Blog In Space!!

Wil Everts, web consultant and web log author, became the first "blogger" to transmit their work into outer space on Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at 6:07 PM MST.

Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) April 1, 2005 -- Wil Everts, web consultant and web log author, became the first "blogger" to transmit their work into outer space on Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at 6:07 PM MST.

After hours of scouring the web, Wil realized that the feat had not yet been accomplished and jumped at the chance to own an Internet first. "I've been making websites professionally for over 8 years. When I realized that it had not been done I couldn't wait to send the first CosmiCast ever!" exclaimed Everts.

He used a well known service to phone in the Morse code version of two web log posts directly to a transmitter feeding a large parabolic dish antenna. The system was designed by RF and broadcast engineers with over 75 years of combined experience in terrestrial and satellite communication experience. Before Wil played the Morse code, he sent the voice message, "We come in peace, enjoy our web logs!" The historic Morse code can be downloaded from in .wav format.

Wil Everts began creating websites professionally in 1996. He has since created many websites, commercial and personal. His web consulting practice,, is a small one, as he works full-time for the popular domain registrar Wil plans to open a service called in which bloggers can pay a nominal fee to submit an RSS feed into space every month. "Some people think locally, some globally, but perhaps it was just time for an intergalactic blog."

ChartWatchCentral Publishes Exclusive Interview. Author Charles M. O’Melia shares four decades of investment knowledge with readers.

Thornwood, NY (PRWEB) March 11, 2005 -- Rare is the chance for modern investor's to glean knowledge and understanding from an investor who's investment strategy has withstood the test of time to the tune of four decades. Rarer still is when a vault of wisdom such as that is distilled for the enrichment of the individual investor.

ChartWatchCentral recently conducted an interview with author and long-term investor, Charles M. O’Melia. Mr. O'Melia's investment career has spanned almost forty years with the view of creating wealth, rather than quick profit. Mr. O'Melia has condensed the years of information and learning into an easily understood financial book entitled, 'The Stockopoly Plan.' Stockopoly is an opportunistic investment plan that will profit the investor and no one else – not a stockbroker (you won’t need one, there are no commission fees!), a mutual fund or a financial advisor. It is a stock market investment strategy that helps you realize cash dividend income for the rest of your life.

"Hopefully this interview will enlighten the reader to begin a proven, successful method of investing in those companies that make up the stock market. I believe it will profit those who are interested, for the rest of their lives," Mr O'Melia stated.

This timely, must read interview is now available to the public via the World Wide Web at:

The Future Is Now

Christina Nikolov
Founder ChartWatchCentral, Inc.

One of the missions of ChartWatchCentral is to inform our readers of opportunity before it mainstreams. There is tremendous opportunity in the futuristic field of Nanotechnology.Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary defines nanotechnology thusly: “the art of manipulating materials on an atomic or molecular scale especially to build microscopic devices.” A more proper working definition is: the creation of an entirely new species and world.Nanotechnology is also very fertile ground for the investor who does his homework. As always, the ground floor is the preferred position for a new era.

Quite simply, Nanotechnology will make every technological advance that has preceded it insignificant by comparison. The time frame for this sweeping worldwide change is short, investors who want to be at the forefront of profit in this change should begin serious investigation of this subject now because this is one future that will not wait – it is, in fact happening now.

A Brief Overview of the Changes Forthcoming

Computer processing power continues to increase at an astounding pace, and that will continue. These extremely powerful processors have fueled the technological explosion we have all experienced and continue to experience. We are now at the tipping point.

Processor speed will soon take a quantum leap in speed and flexibility because newer, faster processors are being designed with the help of the current generation of fast processors. This sets up a chain reaction as each generation of faster processors is used to design its replacement. Human DNA is being looked at as the basis of near-term ultra fast ultra small processors. In fact, initial experiments have shown that DNA can indeed perform simple, although extremely brief, input/output operations.

As faster upon faster generations of silicon-based processors, allowing for more sophisticated software, come into use, not only will the DNA-based processor hurdle be overcome, the prototype DNA-based processors will thus accelerate the processor speed curve.

The human genome has been mapped – blazing processor speed will ‘crack’ the code, which will, in turn, allow for processors with calculation speeds unheard of today to be constructed at the molecular and atomic level. This is currently in the works; research is going full speed on a highly accelerated track.

Molecular level computing utilizing DNA based processors will result in what now may be viewed as Science Fiction, but will become fact within the next ten years. I state again that current research is moving rapidly and breakthroughs are occurring at an astounding pace. I cannot over emphasize the importance of this issue because this molecular computing revolution will create a world that, just a few short years ago, would have been considered impossible. All of humanity will be affected and all of the world’s economies will experience a corresponding explosion in activity and worth.

Just Imagine

What are some of the things in store? Just imagine! In fact, let your imagination run rampant, the researchers and creators of emerging Nanotechnology, and its sibling Genomics, are doing just that. Products and services will become available that today, would be viewed as miraculous. These advanced products and services will, however, become commonplace in the early 21st Century and will be replaced by a dizzying and constant stream of even more amazing products and services. This technology, of course, will first be utilized in military, medical and scientific applications. In fact the DOD research arm DARPA, is currently researching ‘super-human’ soldier applications utilizing Nanotechnology.

Molecule and atomic sized computerized applications will enhance the strength, speed, agility, vision and survivability of the soldier on the battlefield. Once perfected and implemented, the ‘cyborg’ soldier applications will be able to communicate via satellite directly to commanders at the Pentagon, or in the field. What he sees with his nanite eyes, can be delivered in real-time to command centers, the same will hold true for what he hears, what he thinks and his biological signs. Instructions from command and control centers will be delivered directly to his brain almost instantaneously.

Some have envisioned nightmare scenarios whereby, as a military application, Nanotechnology and Genomics will lead to the creation of soldiers without remorse, guilt, or fear – those sections of his brain responsible for emotion will be held in check or blocked altogether by molecular computers - creating soldiers capable of following orders without question, acting upon orders
without fear, without worry, without remorse. This will also be applicable to the intelligence sector.

In reality however, it will be possible to utterly obviate and render obsolete today’s need for intelligence gathering altogether simply by delivering payloads of nanites to the enemy’s water supply – both civilian and military. Or, the payload could simply be delivered via air dispersion over wide areas – both battlefield and civilian areas could easily be targeted – remember these computers are molecular in size and capable of integrating with humans at the cellular level, and will execute their programming directly to the human, including easily reproducing themselves from cellular material. The enemy, in point of fact, would be rendered non-existent if ‘re-programmed’ to be the friend, or let your own imagination stage the scenario. It will be possible.

In the field of medicine, a few of the many uses will include heart patients injected with nanites designed to clear deposits from the circulatory system. Other uses will be nanites designed for microsurgery easily repairing damaged tissue and performing cellular surgery for a variety of maladies. The sky, and the imagination of the medical community is the limit. Nanotechnology will revolutionize the world. There is no aspect of life that will be untouched by this advance.

From agriculture to marketing – from biology to communication – virtually all that we can dream, both good and bad, will be possible. It will be possible for humans to carry within them the totality of human knowledge, available for instant recall. New knowledge could easily be passed from one human to another simply by touch, or by sight.

Communication without speech will exist. Most disease can be eradicated, more food can be grown, and a ‘golden age’ will be entirely within humanity’s grasp. Or, a nightmare world of programmed ‘cyborgs’ will be commonplace. We will soon create a new species, which I have dubbed ‘Homo Superioralis,’ a blending, meshing and melding of human and DNA based molecular processors.

Fantastic abilities and health will be available to anyone who carries within them these molecular computers. This is an issue that will soon confront all of us and it will become the biggest issue of this century. The time is rapidly approaching, we will have to deal with this and make of it what we will. The technology, in its nascent stage, exists. It is rapidly evolving and emerging. A new world is being born.

How Does This Affect the Investor?

Opportunities will arise that we cannot, at this time, comprehend, or even imagine. As with any total revolution, everything changes. Those who invest for the long-term in stable and reliable companies at the leading edge of current research in this area will be on the ground floor of the most explosive economic growth in history. For example, HP is expending tremendous effort to be at the forefront of this research. The door to the digital, information age is only slightly ajar, the Internet and communication revolution barely turned the knob of the future. We have barely crossed the threshold – Nanotechnology will throw the door to the future wide open.Of course, some people continued to invest in buggy and surrey manufacturers even as others invested in the manufacture of cantankerous automobiles rolling along primitive highways. A new world awaits, there is profit to be made. Make no mistake - Nanotechnology is the ultimate next big thing - it will revolutionize humankind.

Time frame – ten to twenty years max! Do your research and prepare.

With the introduction of CardOne Plus, located in Canada, this powerfully global debit card solution is receiving inquiries from Merchants and Distributors in U.S., European, Canadian, Asian, African and other markets around the globe. This powerful debit card solution can be issued to companies and people worldwide with official identification and verifiable addresses. It can be used at more than 900,000 ATM locations worldwide and 20 million merchant locations, as well as for Internet purchases.

Organizations are using CardOne Plus for International or Multinational Agent & Independent Contractor Payment Programs, Greeting Card or Gift Card Programs, Travel Cards, Student Cards, and Fund Transfer Cards.

"We are very pleased with the enormous interest this program has received from Merchants and Distributors around the world" reports Kevin Lewis, President of CardOne Plus. "This Global interest proves the market is immense. We already have Distributors and Merchants in the U.S., Europe, and Asia and more are invited to partner with us.

Debit cards are in great demand by organizations of all sizes and individuals throughout the world. The market for debit cards is just in its infancy and is virtually untapped. A study by PricewaterhouseCoopers for the United States Treasury department found that over 40% of the U.S. workforce has no bank account. An additional 12% with bank accounts are denied a debit card. This large number of "lost consumer market families" has risen more than 28% in the last three years. These "un-banked" and "underbanked" are shut out of many basic financial transactions and must pay much higher fees than the banked, just to conduct normal financial business.

Don't Stop

Christina Nikolov
Founder/CEO ChartWatchCentral, Inc.

Things do not always, in fact things seldom go the way we want them to go. Despite diligent research, proper timing, best intentions and due diligence our best laid plans, as someone once said: "gang alay". The financial markets are testament to that fact. They are also testament to life in general.

For practical purposes, the stock markets are beyond our control. No matter how astute we are, or how solid the analysis, or the advice, the markets, at times, appear to have a life and mind of their own. Such is life. You want what is best for you and your loved ones. You want what all who have come before you have wanted - the best that life has to offer. We often forget, and more still, tend to ignore a facet of life's pageant that is also on everyone's menu: disappointment.

When the stock market turns against you, when the losses become unbearable, when the current of life has carried you into choppy waters and hostile ports - don't stop. Stopping is lack of action and it is defeat. Retreat, realignment and redirection, on the other hand, are valid responses, but don't stop.

Day always follows night - no matter how long and terrifying the night. All that we take for granted today was built over time; all that we see is the product of overcoming obstacles. To overcome is to live. Obstacles are part and parcel of life. The tallest tree was once struggling mightily simply to poke through the ground and greet the light. If a baseball player hit .350 over a twenty-year career, he would be hailed as one of the best ever - however he would have failed 65% of the time.

The battle for financial freedom, the quest for the realization of your most cherished dreams, is one fraught with the unknown and beset by obstacles that can seem insurmountable. A sure fire way for those obstacles to, in fact, become insurmountable is to give up. Go for your life despite all else, go for your dreams, chase the ring - and catch it. You can.

Don't stop.

Welcome to another day along the path of success.

Whatever you define success to be, remember that success is a journey, not a destination. Take heart that you are not alone, you journey with others. Perhaps the greatest advice that can be given to help you in your journey is to remember that trust is forged in the furnace of respect - but you must respect yourself first before you can learn to trust others. Know yourself, the real you stripped of all external artificiality, fully and the journey to your success become less arduous.

Respect yourself, respect others - trust yourself, trust others and you will not be alone in your journey.

91% Stock Prediction Accuracy

ChartWatchCentral Announces New Premium Service Geared For Profit

Thornwood, NY - January 27, 2005 - ChartWatchCentral, Inc. announced a new premium service geared for profit. With a confirmed stock prediction record of 91%, ChartWatchCentral has now made the proprietary stock research method and advisory style developed by Founder and CEO, Christina Nikolov available to investors in search of unbiased profit opportunity. Ms. Nikolov's method has been developed during a fifteen-year period of study and involvement within the financial sector, and led to her founding of ChartWatchCentral, Inc. in 2001. She has since established herself among the leading market forecasters in America and ChartWatchCentral as a trusted source of financial information.

"I invite investors to take advantage of our risk-free trial. If we are not a fit, simply cancel anytime during the trial period and owe nothing. Unlike many other services, we offer a full twenty-eight day trial period in order for investors to gain an intimate understanding of our service and method - and a head start on profit," Ms. Nikolov stated. "Furthermore, we are independent and provide completely unbiased research. I have developed our proprietary method with only one goal in mind - to produce solid research that investors can utilize with confidence. We exist for the investor, rather than for the market. Our advisories are geared for profit by providing the concise information investors need, at the time they need it."

With economic uncertainty common in the marketplace, Ms. Nikolov's readers have found her succinct insight and research to be a beacon of honest opportunity in a sea of complication.

"In November 2001 we alerted investors that the market would soon turn vicious. Our research indicated very tough times ahead; in fact I wrote that the 'Bear' was poised to trample the 'Bull'. Consequently our readers were not caught off guard. I believe when analyzed correctly, a chart never lies. I will always call them as I see them. We have now seen what happens when investor confidence is eroded by false claims and manipulated analysis. The investor makes the market and we are investor focused." Ms. Nikolov commented. "We are committed to providing honest opportunity."
